The elephant is the largest land living mammal in the world, in general terms we have two types of elephants, the african elephant (most bigger one) and the asian elephant, both female and male african elephant have tusks but only the male asian elephant, basically they use their tusk for digging and finding food. Into other special features they have a pregnancy that last 22 month, his ears are large and thin with a complex network of blood and vessels with wich they regulate their temperature, also they have a great memory; elephants don't have natural predators, however lions will sometimes prey on young or weak elephants in the wild, but the main risk to elephants is from human through proaching, hunting and changing their habitat.
